Square Deception

作品名字叫SquareDeception。这里的方形指发生在游戏和任何3D中的构成方式。在我的作品中，我运用到了电子游戏。探讨了游戏以及3D中方形作为构建语言的骗局。 随着技术的发展，电子游戏也越来越拟真，但是在这个越来越真实的世界里，所有的一切依然是由方形组成的。而方形这一元素，在构建了更真实的世界的同时，也在解构着这个世界所谓的真实性。在进行游戏之前，我们就有提前的心理准备，自主的将自己与角色相互联系。我们相信我们看见的，也同时在潜意识里进行质疑。在这些方形的骗局中，相信与怀疑，构建与解构，认知与跳脱同时在发生。

周莹林

Square Deception

The name of my work is Square Deception, where square refers to the way of composition that takes place in games and in any 3D. In my work, I use video games. It explores the deception of the square as a language of construction in games as well as in 3D. As technology has evolved, video games have become more and more anodyne, but in this increasingly realistic world, everything is still made up of squares. And the element of square, while building a more realistic world, is also deconstructing the so-called realism of this world. Before proceeding with the game, we are mentally prepared in advance, autonomously interconnecting ourselves with our characters. We believe what we see and simultaneously question it subconsciously. In these square deceptions, believing and doubting, constructing and deconstructing, perceiving and jumping out are happening at the same time.

Zhou Yinglin

Artist, studying at the University of the Arts Berlin (MFA), based on her intercultural and interregional identity, she tries to explore through her works the possibilities and implicit social issues of individual or group identity and language as a fundamental means of communication in the context of globalization. Through extensive research and reflection, she has a very unique view of the cultural attributes of language, and her works also reflect on and deconstruct social structures, social institutions, cultural hegemony and cultural colonization. Huang Du, academic director of Today Art Museum, a renowned curator and critic, commented on the artist, 'Zhou Yinglin thinks about identity, borders, and cultural contexts from a linguistic perspective, and her works have a very rare thoughtfulness.'
